Dr Louise Fitzgerald
Dr Louise Fitzgerald is a Program Officer with the International Universities Climate Alliance. She has developed collaborations with and between universities across the Alliance on climate-related events, programs, competitions and internships. Louise’s background is in education development in a range of contexts including Cambodia and Indonesia. Within Australia she has advised and taught in secondary education, Technical and Further Education and university sectors. Her research interests lie in responsible business, sustainability and climate empowerment and she currently collaborates with a range of stakeholders in these areas on related projects and actions, including the Consortium of Transdisciplinary Research Futures, University of Nairobi.
Yvonne Githiora
Ms. Yvonne Githiora is a Research Fellow at the University of Nairobi, specializing in the linkages between ecosystem services, human communities, and climate change in African ecosystems. With a background in ecology, she holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Conservation Biology from reputable institutions in South Africa. Currently pursuing her PhD in Climate Change Adaptation, Yvonne's research focuses on the impact of climate change on African ecosystems. Her expertise extends to public policy, climate change mainstreaming, and water and ecosystems research. Through her work in government, NGOs, and academia, Yvonne has gained valuable experience and a diverse perspective on addressing environmental, social, and educational challenges in Africa. She is driven by her passion to make a positive impact in these areas.
Dr. Robert Ambunda
Dr. Robert Ambunda is a lead researcher in the Transport and Mobility Lab, in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Namibia. His areas of research interest encompass transport policy and regulation, sustainable mobility systems, resilient and equitable transport systems, transport modelling, climate change and adaptation, and road safety. Robert is a VREF-SLOCAT Young Leader in Sustainable Transport and a Lee Schipper Memorial Scholar Alumni. He has worked on various grant-funded research projects around transport infrastructure provision, and transport data-driven policy and performance targets development initiatives. He holds a Master's (MSc) and a Ph.D. in Transport Engineering, and various qualifications in Data Science and Public Management and Governance.
Henry Gandhi Odhiambo
Henry Gandhi is the Co-convener of Trans-disciplinary Futures Program for Africa, and Research Fellow at the Institute for Climate Change & Adaptation (ICCA), University of Nairobi. Prior to joining TFR Africa, he was the Program Lead at the Africa Research & Impact Network (ARIN) where he co-chaired the first Africa Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) Bilingual Finance Fellowship in close collaboration with Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, as well as coordinating the ARIN-ASH Summer School on Sustainability 2021. In 2021, Henry was instrumental in co-convening the Africa-Led 26TH Pre-Conference of Parties (COP26) to the United Nations Framework on Climate Change Convention (UNFCCC) in collaboration with UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).
He has co-authored Deploying Artificial Intelligence for Climate Change Management, researching Climate Change Knowledge and Awareness using Online Research, and Adaptation Research in Africa: Progress and Gaps. Henry is currently pursuing a Master of Climate Change Adaptation (MCCA) at the Department of Earth and Climate Sciences (ECS), University of Nairobi, where he’s researching the intersection of mangrove ecosystem, coastal livelihood dynamics, and climate change. His other research interests include landscape futures, blue economy, food-water-energy systems, and planetary health.
Cynthia Lemayian
Cynthia Lemayian is a scholar at the University of Nairobi currently doing her Master of Arts Degree in Literature. Her areas of interest include Literary research, ranging from ecocritical criticism, African Literature and Gender studies. She also has expertise in Language and Communication with experience in corporate communication and Public Relations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Literature and Communication from the University of Nairobi.

Augustine is a software developer with expertise in programming and web development. He excels in creating dynamic and user-friendly websites. He actively explores the ethical use of technology and its societal impact. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, basketball, and engaging in thoughtful discussions.
